Men's Jeans Sizes to Women's Jeans Sizes Conversion
More and more guys are buying women's jeans. I'm not entirely sure why. I assume they are just built in a way that makes women's jeans fit them better.
Whatever the reason, I couldn't find anyplace that offered any information on what sizes these guys should be buying.
Men's jeans are sized much more simply than women's jeans. Men's jeans sizes are waist measurement x inseam measurement. I wish that women's jeans sizes were so easy.
Not only do the sizes run differently from one pair of jeans to the other. They also run differently between each brands style and of course, each brands sizing is different.
On top of that there are three different types of women's jeans sizes, misses, juniors and a whole other scale that many designer jeans use.
Some women's jeans come in specific lengths, some offer short, medium or long lengths, but most women's jeans come in one length and that's it.
The chart below is a general guideline on what men's jeans size might be equivalent to in women's jeans sizes. For the reasons stated above, there is no way to say that any particular men's jeans size will absolutely be equivalent to any particular women's jeans size, but this will give you a place to start.
